Suspected bandits have attacked several communities under the Karfi ward in Malumfashi local government area of Katsina State and killed no fewer than 17 persons.
Reliable sources said the bandits invaded the areas two days back with a sporadically shooting that resulted in the death of the 17 helpless persons, while scores left with various degrees of bullet injuries.
A member representing the local government council at the State house of assembly, Aminu Ibrahim Saidu, who confirmed the incident, said he visited the areas and sympathised with the families on the dilemma they find themselves in.
