JIBWIS Leader Urges Parents, Guardians To Ensure Their Children Memorise And Understand Holy Qur’an

Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’ah Wa Iqamatus Sunnah (JIBWIS), an islamic organisation, in Abuja, reiterated its commitment to promoting peace and national unity among different ethnic nationalities in the country.

Its National Chairman, Sheikh Bala Lau, stated this at the Third Edition of Qur’an Memorisation Graduation Ceremony for 35 students of the School for Holy Qur’an Memorisation, JIBWIS, Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Lau emphasised the need for Nigerians, irrespective of religion, to avoid utterances capable of disrupting peaceful coexistence.

He said the training and graduation of the 35 Qur’an memorizers was part of JIBWIS contribution toward ensuring peace and tranquility in the country.

The JIBWIS leader also urged parents and guardians to take the issue of their children seriously and ensure that they memorise and understand the holy book.

Hajara Bello, aged 17, who spoke on behalf of the graduates, thanked her parents and teachers for the support to her Qur’an education.
