International Rescue Committee and Medicines Sans Frontier have strongly condemned the execution of its aid worker, Mr. Luka Filibus and four others humanitarian workers by Boko Haram insurgents in Borno state
ICRC issued the statement in Maiduguri and made it available to newsmen on Thursday, they said the IRC strongly condemns the senseless execution of their colleague Luka Filibus, and his fellow humanitarian captives.
They condemned the barbaric treatment and demand the immediate return of his remains to his family.
They added that the killing of aid workers is a violation of international law and Aid workers must never be a target.
The IRC said Luka dedicated his life to protecting children and to help lessen their trauma in the face of crisis, adding that his colleagues in Nigeria will continue to remember him always with a smile on his face.
