A small group of insurgents on Tuesday launched a daring attack on the Garrison Town of Monguno, in Monguno Local Government Area of Borno State.
The number of casualties was not immediately clear, but it was reported that a few number of people sustained injuries.
Dandal Kura Radio International learnt that the attack on Monguno, the hometown of the Babagana Monguno, the National Security Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari, was launched around 4 am.
Security sources told our correspondent that the attack wasnt intense as it involved a few number of insurgents when compared to previous attacks in January and June 2020.
In a Tweet, on Tuesday evening, Eloi Fillion, the head of the delegation, International Committee of the Red Cross said that the organizations surgical team was treating three patients wounded during the attack in Monguno, including a five-year-old kid.
