IGP Approves Appointment Of Abdu Umar As New Commissioner Of Police In Borno

The Inspector General of Police Usman Baba Ali has approved the appointment of Abdu Umar who has taken over as new Commissioner of police Borno state northeast Nigeria.

The new commissioner of Police has resumed duty yesterday at headquarters of Borno state police command and carried out lots of crucial assignments toward playing significant roles to protect lives and properties of citizenry in a state devastated by the activities of Boko Haram and ISWAP Insurgents.

Abdu Adamu has said this while interacting with newsmen at his office on Tuesday.

The News Commissioner of Police reiterated that he is aware of all what is happening in the northeast. Adding that he is here to serves all and sundry accordingly. Assuring that his doors is widely opened for information and social interactions without which police cannot achieve its mandate.

He stressed that the Police under his leadership will assiduously work toward eradicating deferent forms of crimes by arresting and prosecute the perpetrators effectively and enforce laws and orders and vowed to work base on the vision upon which the community led police.

He then promised to work with all the security agencies in the state especially at the time when the Boko Haram Insurgent are sundering in their large number almost on daily basis.
