Borno State government have approved the disbustment of over 81million Naira for the payment of 534 local government retiree’s six month special arrears.
The Secretary of the Borno State Local government Pension Board, Aja Gana Bukar, disclose this yesterday while distributing the money in cheque for the benefeciaries.
Aja thanked the governor, Prof Babagana Umara Zulum for the gesture, adding that the benefeciaries have been waiting for a long time with hope that they will be paid someday.
While appreciating the governor, he also appealed to him not to forget the retires in his budgetry plan as they hope and look forward to being compensated with their remaining arrears and gratuity.
In his good will message, The board secretary appreciated the pentioners for the sense of orderliness during the dispatchment of the cheque excercise, while enjoying them to make good use of the payment.
