Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum has expressed gratitude residents for the rousing welcome accorded President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday in Maiduguri.
Zulum’s message was delivered by the deputy governor, Umar Kadafur, few minutes after Buhari’s departure.
The Governor also thanked residents for enduing partial road closures and other necessary security measures put in place in line with presidential movements.
The Governor’s message was delivered by his deputy, Umar Usman Usman Kadafur at the Government House on Thursday.
The Deputy unbehalf of Governor Zulum , express appreciation to the entire people of Borno State, such as residents, business owners, trade union, clubs and associations and everyone for the manner in which the President was deservedly honoured today (in Maiduguri).Kadafur said that they warmly appreciate all residents.
President Buhari was in Maiduguri throughout the day to appraise security situation in the northeast during which he visited the Maimalari barrack to address the military and visited wounded soldiers, while he commissioned 7 out of 556 capital projects executed by Zulum’s administration in two years.
Buhari commissioned the Borno State University, three technical schools, a vocational institute, a maternal health centre and road network.
