Gombe State Governor Visits Victims Of Flood

Gombe state governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has visited and sympathise with victims of recent flood disaster in Funakaye Local Government (LGA) of the state.

During the visit Governor Yahaya who lamented the magnitude of the flood disaster. He equally announced a donation of N5 million to the affected people in the area.

He also, appealed to the citizens of the State to always apply caution while interacting with the environment as climate change and global warming are a consequence of human activities.

Expressing his gratitude to the Governor for the sympathy visit, the Emir of Funakaye, Alhaji Mu’azu Mohammed Kwairanga described the visit as a show of love and concern from a leader who always has his people at heart.

He said despite earlier visits by the State Deputy Governor and other Government functionaries to sympathise with the people of Funakaye, the Governor still deemed it fit to come by himself, an action described by the royal father as sublime.

Shortly after the visit on the Emir, the Governor took time off to inspect some areas worst hit by the flood disaster where he interacted with the affected persons.
