An early morning fire the headquarters of the Federal Ministry of Finance in Abuja on Wednesday.
The building is located within the Central Business District, adjacent Federal Secretariat which houses other government MDAs in the nation’s capital.
Dandal Kura Radio reports that the fire, according to eyewitnesses started at about 7.15am.
The Spokesperson of the Federal Fire Service Abraham Paul on Wednesday confirmed the incident.
However addressing journalists on the fire outbreak, Spokesman of the Ministry, Olajide Osudun said the fire outbreak started from the inverter room due to one of the battery exploding and affected about 10 other batteries.
He said the affected area was only the basement of the building, noting that there was no serious damage.
