The Nigeria union of pensioners (NUP) Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN branch has threatened to embark on a nationwide protest over the failure by the Management of FAAN to implement their conditions of Service, CoS, agreement.

The National Secretary of NUP FAAN, Comrade Emeka Njoku disclosed that FAAN Management had refused to implement the CoS as recommended by the committee set up by them on the disparity in salaries.

He said, the body had given the FAAN Management up till the 4th of May, 2021 to address their grievances.

The NUP said, the committee ended its sitting and submitted its recommendations before the COVID-19 Pandemic lockdown and till date they were yet to see any action taken.

He accused the Management of FAAN of twisting the agreement and dragging the minister into a matter that was within the power of the management of FAAN to handle.

Comrade Njoku stressed that FAAN pensioners were only asked for 18 percent based on the agreement reached with FAAN Management as against the 33 percent the federal government awarded to federal pensioners.
