The Messengers of Peace Foundation (MOPF), a non-governmental organization that seeks to promote peace in Nigeria, has honored the Founder/President of Al-Ansar Foundation, Dr. Mohammed Kyari Dikwa with the Humanitarian/Icon of Peace Award.
The organization presented the award to Dr. Dikwa during its 2021 National Peace Awards which was held at the International Conference Centre Abuja over the weekend.
The National Peace Awards is an annual event where outstanding Nigerians who have done exceptionally well in the aspect of peace promotion, are recognized and celebrated. The 2021 edition had as its theme: “We Need Peace in Nigeria”.
The President of the MOPF and Convener of the National Peace Awards, Dr. Suleiman Adejoh commended Dr. Dikwa for his outstanding efforts towards the promotion of peace in Nigeria.
In his acceptance speech, Dr. Dikwa who was represented by Engr. Muktar Usman expressed his appreciation to the MOPF for finding him worthy of the award.
He said the award would inspire him to do more in terms of peace and service to humanity.
