The Commissioner of health Borno State and secretary of the state response team to COVID-19, Dr Salihu Kwayabura reveals that the state government has commenced payment of special allowances to over 200 frontline health workers involved in the response and management of Covid-19, as an incentive.
Dr Kwayabura made this known to the public during a daily media briefing in Maiduguri. He also said the committee was closely monitoring 145 people who had contact with confirmed cases.

He added that a review of the lockdown order was being considered to enable Muslims break their fast with ease.
