Commissioner Of Environment Commends Maiduguri Residents Over Compliance During Sanitation Exercise

This Month’s Environmental Sanitation Exercise described as the most impressive as Level of Compliance is reaching High in Maiduguri.

The Overseeing Commissioner of Ministry of Environment Barrister Kaka Shehu Lawal stated this while Briefing Journalists after touring the city of Maiduguri on Assessment and Enforcement of the Environment Sanitation Exercise.

The Commissioner also thanked all the Stakeholders to partake in the Exercise so as to rid Borno State from Cholera and Related Diseases.

Our Reporter Falmata Umar Muhammed reports that On the ongoing demolition and Prescription of Illicit Drugs in the state, the Commissioner said, progress have been continually recorded as recently the Supplier for the illicit Drugs to the state based in Lagos was apprehended and will be Prosecuted.

In his remarks, the General Manager Borno State Environmental Protection Agency Engr Abubakar Sulaiman Expressed Delight for turn out and Urged People to keep the Tempo.

Some Defaulters were arrested during the exercise and will be Prosecuted at the Sanitation Court at Wulari in Maiduguri.
