Cameroon: Anglophone General Conference Postponed To November

The Conference Organizing Committee, of the Anglophone General Conference made the adjournment to the 19th of November advance without stating a reasons behind .

While waiting for the State to formally approve our application for authorization of the conference, the Committee is calling on all Cameroonians of goodwill and also the international community to continue lending support to this initiative.

The organizers have however convened a press conference for Tuesday November 20 at the Saints Peter and Paul Cathedral in Douala at 2 pm to clarify public opinion on their decision.

It should be recalled that the main organizers of the conference led by the Emeritus Archbishop of the Douala Archdiocese Cardinal Tumi were already in Bua at the weekend to secure authorization from local authorities which was reportedly not granted.
