The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) says it has so far duly registered more than 245,000 Small and Medium Enterprise, business names for free.
The Registrar-General of CAC, Alhaji Garba Abubakar disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja.
He said that the Federal government approved the free registration of 250,000 SME business names as part of its intervention to reduce the economic effect of COVID-19.
He also explained that the registration process was done electronically, adding that applicants also got their certificates electronically.
He said the numbers were divided among the 36 States including the FCT, Lagos, Abia and Kano and others.
