Buhari Confers CON National Honour Award To Governor Zulum, 12 Others From Borno

President Muhammadu Buhari has conferred the national Honour award of Commander of Order of Niger (CON) on Borno state Governor Professor Babagana Umara Zulum.

Zulum was conferred the award on Tuesday at the International Conference Center, Abuja, witnessed by hundreds of high caliber of participants.
According to the National Honours Award Investiture 2022 Programme, 450 recipients were awarded, making the total number of Nigeria’s national honours awardees to 5,341 since 1963.

The 450 recipients, Six were awarded Grand Commanders of the Order of the Niger (GCON), 55 Commanders of the Order of the Federal Republic (CFR), 74 Members of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR), 77 Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic (OFR).
Others are 110 Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON), 55 Members of the Order of the Niger (MON), 65 Commanders of the Order of the Niger (CON), Four Federal Republic Medal- First Class (FRM I) and Four Federal Republic Medal- Second Class FRM II.
It has also been gathered that several Borno state indigene were also conferred with national honour awards which includes Managing Director NNPC Eng. Mele Kolo Kayri , National Security Adviser Major General Babagana Monguno rtd , His Royal Highness Ibrahim Ibn El-Kanemi, Shehu of Dikwa, Senator Abubakar Kyari, Deputy National Chairman, APC, Member of House of representatives Hon. Muktari Aliyu Vetara , Emir of Biu his royal highness Mai Mustapha Umar Mustapha.

Others are The Former chief of staff to the president late Alh. Abba Kyari, chairman Tertiary Education Trust Fund Tetfund Mutawalli Kashim Ibrahim Imam, legal practitioner, Founder of Prowess Foundation, legal practitioner Barrister Zanna Mustapha, former chief of Army staff Lt. General Tukur Yusuf Buratain retired, Dr Hannatu Fika Adamu, Retired Civil Servant, Rear Admiral Abdul Biu Adamu, Retired Naval Officer,
