Borno State Police Command on Thursday reviews curfew by additional one hour, the curfew previously lasted from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm daily.
The state Police command’s spokesman SP Edet Okon disclosed that in a statement on Thursday.
According to him, the relaxation was in view of the ongoing fasting by Muslim faithfuls.
The state’s commissioner of police CP Bello Makwashi, while wishing the Muslim faithfuls a blessed Ramadan, urges all residents of the state to reciprocate the goodwill offered by the state government by continuing to observe the curfew within the new timing.
He also urged members of the public to continue to cooperate with the police and other law enforcement agencies in their quest to ensure a peaceful and crime free society during the holy month of Ramadan and beyond.
