Borno Charcoal and Kerosene Dealers Clarifies Reasons Behind the persistent Hikes.
The leadership of Borno Charcoal dealers, sellers and kerosene Association has clarified that high cost of their products in the markets are due to so many factors affects demand and supply.
The chairman of the Association Alh Modu Mulima reveals that they’re aware of the challenges people have been going in the recent months.
Modu Mulima Further clarified that intensive revenue collections, high cost transportation are termed to be responsible for the persistent increase in the prices of Charcoal and Kerosene in Borno state.
He however, attributed the lingering challenges due to additional the absent of electricity for period of approximately 10 month, high cost of Liquefied Petroleum Products, climate change, insurgency has directly affected living condition of many families within the metropolis.
Dandal Kura Radio International gathered that one bag of charcoal was sold on the cost of N3000, 3,200 at some places while 12 kg of Gas N9000 and 1litre of Petrol also sold N170-180 respectively at the most filling station across the city of Maiduguri.
