Muslim Students Society of Nigeria Borno State chapter has charged parents to give proper upbringing to their children.
The call was made by the association Amirah Fatima Mala Sandabe during its special program for girl child titled Muminate held in Maiduguri.
The event which took place at the Multi-Purpose Hall 3 of Kashim Ibrahim College of Education hundreds of girls students from more than ten different schools and higher institutions were in attendance.
Fatima Sandabe said the first place where children develop character is their parent’s home.
Guest Speaker at the occasion Sister Juwairiya Musa, spoken extensively on great women personalities in the history of Islam who have contributed a lot in the development of the religion, include Khadijat, Asiya and Maryam (Alaihassalam).
Sister Juwairiyya said contributing to Islam is as same as contributing to themselves as they gain the benefits in this world and the hereafter and it’s also parts of the Sadaqatul-jariya.
Also, special guest at the occasion Hajiya Halima L. Chiroma, who resented the Borno State commissioner for Women Affairs, advised the students learn to contribute to Islam at their age and obtain the habit of seeking Allah’s protection and guidance in their life.
