Hisbah First Aid Association Borno State Chapter held its first annual seminar and passing out ceremony on Sunday 28th March, 2021 at Kashim Ibrahim College of education.
The ceremony witnessed the presentation of appointment letters to newly recruits and ranking of their senior officers, the commander general Adamu Ibrahim Usman, Director general Muhammad B. Chiroma, Deputy commander general Abdulrahman Muhammad and Deputy commander general on special duty Mustapha Adam.
The chairman of the Association Professor Abubakar Mustapha stated that the association began in the Borno emirate in 1999 in areas of Gazargamu and Kukuwa but it was short lived due to colonial activities which the association was revitalized in 2016.
He also stated that its members are responsible for the welfare of the society and to ensure everything is done according to Islamic doctrine, they are insilled to act and prevent something bad from happening by reporting to the appropriate authorities.
He further advised the members to be responsible and maintain a cordial relationship with other security agencies in enforcing discipline, law and order in the society.
Borno State elder state man, Bulama Mali Gubio commended the efforts of Hisbah Association for their dedication and achievements over the years and also encourages them to pursue being part of the legislative body of Borno state to enable them exercise their duties accordingly and strengthen their operations.
Other prominent guest in attendance are Sheik Abba Al’min Banki, sheik Modu Mustapha, Prof. Ibrahim Salafi, Dean Student Affairs KICOE Hajja kaka Muhammad and representatives of NDLEA, FRSC, NSCDC, Nigerian army and Jama’atul Nasrul Islam.
