The Shehu of Borno and Chairman Council of Traditional Rulers of Borno State Alhaji Dr. Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai Al-Amin El-Kanemi on behalf of Borno, Dikwa, Bama, Biu, Askira, Gwoza, Shani and Uba Emirate Councils wish to express their heartfelt appreciation to the Almighty, Allah for His Mercies and convey their sincere thanks and gratitude to all who stood by them in their recent moments of grief and losses.
The Borno State Traditional Council have received numerous condolences and prayers of encouragement from across the Nigerian nation and world at large over the demise of Shehu of Bama, Alhaji Kyari Ibn Umar Ibrahim El-Kanemi; Mallam Abba Kyari, Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari , Alhaji Mohammed Goni, former Governor of Borno State; Alhaji GaladimaModu Sheriff, Galadima of Dikwa and some Islamic Scholars of repute.
The royal father said they have Indeed lost many of their best over the last decade due to insurgency and of recent due to various illnesses.
The royal father appreciates in particular the condolence messages, even in this very difficult time of the ravaging COVID-19.
The Shehu of Borno thanks President Muhammadu Buhari. Vice President Prof. Yemi Osibanjo, meners of the federal executive council. Others includes his eminence Alhaji Saad Abubakar III Sultan of Sokoto and Royal Highnesses, Emirs/Chiefs across the country.

Adding that they pray for the repose of the departed souls of their loved ones. The Shehu also pray for those left behind and may the Almighty grant them peace, progress and peaceful co-existence.
