Dr Nwambu Gabriel, the Director-General of the Centre and convener of the coalition who spoke on behalf of other NGOs during a news conference on Tuesday in Abuja, said the group came to the conclusion after a one-day Summit on insecurity.
Gabriel commended President Muhammadu Buhari’s efforts in fighting insecurity adding that all he needed was support from ministers and Nigerians.
According to him, the Boko Haram sect is now hydra-headed and has resulted in prolonged local and international terrorism, banditry, marauders, rapists, killer herdsmen, cattle rustling and kidnapping.
It is clearly evident that Politicians are the founders, financiers and pre-cursors of insecurity in Nigeria.
However, Ministers essentially are to act as deputies to the President and Commander- in- Chief by projecting the efforts of Mr President.
He urged the National Assembly to remove incompetent leaders and replace them with God fearing representatives for result oriented legislations for peace, security and development of the country in line with the desire of the President.
Gabriel said that the coalition passed a vote of confidence on security heads on the basis of their credible performance in the discharge of the tasks of containing the myriad of security challenges confronting Nigeria.
