Bauchi State Government says it has introduced a scientific approach as part of its commitment to improve environmental management and advance public health in the state.
The State Commissioner for Environment and Housing, Honorable Hamisu Muazu Shira announced this at the commissioning ceremony of the first environmental science laboratory in the state designed to test a minimum of 15 parameters of each of the core environmental components.
Honorable Hamisu Shira said the construction of the modern environmental laboratory is in line with Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed’s desire for clean environment and genuine concern for public health.
He applauded the governor for prioritizing the environmental wellbeing of the people of the state and urged stakeholders to support the state government to achieve the set objectives.
The Environment and Housing Commissioner reassured Governor Bala Mohammed of the total support and dedication of the Ministry towards the implementation of the core principles of his administration.
