Jigawa State Governor Mohammed Badaru Abubakar has commended the efforts of Governor of Central Bank Mr. Godwin Emifele for being proactive in the implementation of federal government agricultural policies which is contributing a large share to national growth and development.
According to him, in the past, CBN only deals with commercial Banks and major industrialists, but today the bank is engaging peasant farmers, as well as large-scale farmers through various interventions and facilities which is making the current Nigerian economic growth more inclusive and sustainable.
The Central Bank of Nigeria has reiterated its commitment to deliver loans to the doorsteps of farmers to boost agricultural production for food security, job creation, and sustainable growth in Nigeria.
Our Correspondent in Dutse, Jigawa State reports that Governor of the Central Bank Mr. Godwin Emifele revealed this while delivering his speech at the commissioning of 456 metric tons Gerawa Rice Mills in Kano.
The chairman Gerawarice mills Alhaji Isa Gerawa promised to invest more as they expect more intervention and support from CBN, for jobs creation and economic growth.
