The Nigerian troops of Operation Hadin Kai have successfully repelled a mid night attack on Mafa local government area in the North Eastern Borno State, Zagazola learnt.
It was gathered that scores of armed terrorists, suspected to be members of the Islamic State of the West African Province(ISWAP), stormed the Borno State town in gun trucks and motorcycles and began the attack with heavy gunfire against the troops.
An Intelligence Sources told Zagazola Makama, A Security Analyst and Counter Insurgency Expert in the Lake Chad that the troops thwarted the terrorists’ incursion fierce gun battle.
