The chairman Senate Committee on Army, Senator Ali Ndume said that Army and Air force will soon take delivery of additional platforms that will change the war against insurgency and banditry, in addition to recruitment of more soldiers to be deployed to theater of operations.
He said that 2021 will be a turning point in the fight against insecurity in the county.
Senator Ndume stated this at a press briefing in Maiduguri, Borno state against the backdrop of recent successes recorded in a joint military operations in the northwest.
He commended troops in the frontline for their continued resilience and gallantry despite challenges.
Senator Ndume commended the courage of President Buhari, who in a New Year Broadcast, acknowledged challenges confronting the nation, stressing that this act has renewed the faith of Nigerians towards Buhari administration.
