
At least four soldiers were killed in Babungo, Ngoketunjia division of northwest region of Cameroon following of a shootout between security forces and Armed men.
The shootout started when the armed men attacked a convoy transporting a member of parliament of the ruling party CPDM for Ngoketunjia, Njimgun Musa. The politician was not hurt but four soldiers lost their lives in the attack and several others injured in the convoy.
A civilian was also killed in the cross fire even as the incident was just one of the several clashes across the northwest and southwest regions with another clash recorded in Babunda the capital of northwest region on Tuesday.
On Wednesday there was also a shootout around Muea in Buea south region as gun men attacked soldiers leading a convoy of trucks out of the region.
