The African Climate Change Research Center Maiduguri has addressed the issue of climate change launched it 2020 newsletter yesterday 30th of December 2020.
The aim and objectives of the center is to educate and create an awareness of people on effect of climate change in the state that has been resulted difficulties in food, security, and environment.
The deputy speaker of the Center Ibrahim Abatcha Umar disclosed the activities of the center in Borno state and North East.
A representative of the permanent secretary ministry of environment Hassan Musa Malgwi commended the center and branded them as one of the best initiative particularly for the ministry of environment.
Another representative of the Chad basin development authority Bali Bua, emphasized on how important the organization has been in Borno state.
He cited an example of how climate change had affected the Chad basin.
He also advised the organization to include hydrogeology as is one of the most important aspect of human life.
