Dr. Falmata Babagana Umara Zulum, Borno State First Lady Commissioned a Clinic and ICT center at Yerwa Government Girls Secondary School Maiduguri.
Speaking at the Occasion she enjoined students to make proper use of the facility which was provided by Multi aid charity and initiative founded by Her Excellency collaboration.
Commissioner of Education Engr Lawan Abba Wakilbe thanked the first lady for the support and urged other partners to assist the state as much is still required to completely restore the Education sector.
In Her welcome address the Managing Director of Multi aid charity and initiative Maryam Gimba said that, the initiative received an assistance of 20 Desk Top computers, Five Split system air-conditioner and five projectors from UNHCR while the Initiative remodeled the building, provided thirty IPads, installed solar facility, equipped the clinic to boost the School health service and provided dignity kits to 1500 students.
The Acting Head, Sub office of UNHCR Mr. Muhammat Ibrahim stressed on the importance of educating girls and pleged the continuous support of his Organization.
In her vote of thanks the Principal of the school Hajja Falmata Mustafa thanked the First Lady for assisting the School twice within this year.
The first lady was accompanied by the wife of the Deputy Governor Hajiya Maimuna Kadafur, Honorable Commissioner of Women Affairs Haj Zuwaira Gambo and Wives of top Government Functionaries.
Highlights of the occasion was the Commissioning of the facility by Her Excellency.
