The Governor of Borno State Professor Babagana Umara Zulum on Tuesday visited headquarters of 151 battalion of Banki in Bama Local Government Area.
He announced a Christmas package for each of the over 700 soldiers and their officers for being undefeated by Boko Haram.
Zulum had a closed door meeting with commander of the 21 special armored brigade, Brigadier General Waheed Shaibu and commanding officer of the 151 battalion, Major A.A Umar.
Governor Zulum said that he treat everyone or group in fairness and base own merit, he also noticed the challenges that the state is facing in some areas, however that doesnt dined the successes that the state have in others areas.
He mentioned the 151 battalion among those who have recorded successes in the state because they have never been defeated by the Boko Haram since formation.
Governor Zulum compensated the efforts and sacrifices of 151 battalion, and pray Allah to continue protect them and other troops, volunteers in other areas.
Governor Zulum inspected Gurusoye a village behind the battalions headquarters where Boko Haram destroyed and directed the construction of 200 new homes in the area for resettlement purposes and to create aesthetics that will attract productive population for social and economic restoration.
