The Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Ibrahim Attahiru has said the need to extensively deploy model technologies for capacity building and force multiplication in modern warfare has become more urgent that ever before.
General Attahiru gave the remarks at the opening of Training Workshop on Military Simulation Exercises at the Land Forces Simulation Centre, Abuja.
He was represented by the the Chief of Army Transformation and Innovations Major General BM Shafa, Attahiru noted that the Centre is living up to expectations by collaborating with relevant stakeholders to fast track development.
He said the Centre is living up to expectations by collaborating with relevant organizations with wealth of experience in Simulation technologies to fast track development.
The Army Chief announced that the resources for the completion of the Centre’s permanent site has been provided, while arrangements for additional required hardware simulation equipment is being made.
Earlier in his welcome address, Acting Director General d the Centre, Brigadier General DI Salihu said the training workshop is aimed developing capacity of Nigerian Army personnel in military Simulation for operational planning and decision making.
